Darrell Henderson expected to be fine for Week 10 vs. Seahawks

Darrell Henderson gained 58 yards on nine touches in the first half against the Dolphins, appearing to be on his way to another 100-yard game. But then he suffered a quad injury, which sidelined him for the remainder of the game.

Malcolm Brown and Cam Akers did a nice job filling in, but thankfully, Henderson isn’t expected to miss any time moving forward. Sean McVay said Monday that Henderson just got banged up and if the Rams were to practice this week, he’d be able to.

The injury is not expected to impact his availability against the Seahawks in Week 10 after the bye.

“Yeah, I mean, guys got a little bit banged up,” McVay said. “Darrell is good. His quad was bothering him. If we were at practice this week, it’d probably be later on in the week until he’s able to go. Don’t expect it to linger into Seattle.”

The Rams are deep at running back, but Henderson has clearly been their best option. Entering Week 8, he was Pro Football Focus’ No. 1-graded running back in the NFL, and he ranks fourth in the NFL with 16 runs of 10-plus yards on only 95 attempts.

The Rams will need all hands on deck against the Seahawks coming out of the bye and it doesn’t seem like injuries will prevent anyone from playing – nor will Jalen Ramsey’s illness.

McVay said Ramsey is “feeling better” and was in the building with the team, which is “a positive sign for us,” the coach added.
