Darrell Daniels, Jeremy Vujnovich sign one-year contracts to return to Cardinals

Among the many moves the Arizona Cardinals announced on Monday with the commencement of their offseason program was the return of two exclusive rights free agents. Tight end Darrell Daniels and guard Jeremy Vujnovich signed their one-year contracts to return in 2019.

Being exclusive rights free agents, the only way for them to play this year would be to sign the deals the Cardinals tendered.

Vujnovich, 6-5 and 300 pounds, was claimed off waivers before the season began in 2018. He had started all 16 games for the Indianapolis Colts in 2017. Injuries led him to start for the Cardinals. He appeared in five games, starting twice before he got hurt and landed on injured reserve.

Daniels was also claimed off waivers but during the season. He had been waived by the Seattle Seahawks.

He played for the Colts in 2017 and then appeared in nine games for the Seahawks in 2018 before playing in two with Arizona. He did not have a reception but had three in 2017.

He is 6-3, 246 and moved from receiver to tight end his freshman year at Washington.
