Darragh Ennis pressured into wrong answer by The Chase contestant leading to £71k win

A contestant on The Chase pressure-pressed Darragh Ennis into a wrong answer that eventually led to a £71,000 win.

Previous contestants Cydney and Pauline managed to raise £4000, but Joel was their last hope if they wanted a bigger jackpot.

Joel, from Manchester, performed reasonably well in his cash builder, earning £5000.

But he said he was disappointed with £5k and opted for Darragh's high offer of £71k in the head-to-head.

Host Bradley Walsh asked the pair some incredibly difficult questions, but one, in particular, caught The Menace out.

Brad asked: "525,600 minutes is equal to what length of time?"

The options were A) A decade, B) Six months or C) One year.

Answering in a split second, Joel opted for C.

Explaining his choice, Joel said: "I couldn't do the maths quick enough and I knew he didn't know so I had to pressure him."

It was revealed the correct answer was C, however, Darragh had opted for B.

Darragh said: "You did not give me enough time to do the maths."

Following that question, Joel wiped the floor with Darragh, landing a place in the final.

However, the team only managed to score 14 and were beaten by The Menace with 38 seconds to go.
