Washington Redskins defensive lineman Daron Payne is one of the best young players in the league at what he does.
And now he has a chance to pay it forward to those around him.
Over the weekend, Payne shared a video that chronicled his buying a house for his mother, complete with the reveal.
It’s a great feel-good moment the 13th pick in the 2018 draft who has slowly morphed into one of the most dominant — if not lesser-known — defensive linemen in the NFL.
Payne missed just one game this past season while playing a crucial role for the Redskins and once again figures to be a central part of the approach in the defensive trenches as the alignment switches to a 4-3 under the supervision of new defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio.
