Daron Payne ranks in PFF top 10 for run stops among defensive linemen

Every Washington Redskins fan knows that Daron Payne has been a dominant force since he came into the league a year ago, and his promising rookie performance is a great sign of things to come.

His first-year stats show eight sacks and 56 tackles, but Pro Football Focus recently released a stat that shows just how dominant Payne was as a rookie.

Payne was selected with the No. 13 pick in 2018, and now he will be tormenting opposing QB’s alongside Montez Sweat, who was the 26th pick in the 2019 NFL draft.

If both are to stay healthy and happy in Washington, the Redskins could have one of the best defensive lines in the league for years to come.
