Darnley B&Q store closes after staff member tests positive for coronavirus

A B&Q store in Darnley closed today after a staff member tested positive for coronavirus.

Staff members were alerted today and the store was closed shortly after for deep-cleaning.

A B&Q spokesperson said: “We can confirm that our Darnley store is temporarily closed following a team member, who has recently been on shift, receiving a positive (Covid 19) test result.

"Closing the store for deep cleaning is a precautionary measure and goes beyond government advice."

The news comes after Nicola Sturgeon expressed concern at the backlog of tests.

St. Aidan's High School in Wishaw is another school where contact tracing has been rolled out, according to today's reports.
