The victim of a fatal shooting in Darndale was said to be holding his months old baby boy in his arms moments before he was gunned down.
A source said: "He handed the child to a friend who was walking with him before running for his life but the gunman was able to shoot him dead."
The incident is understood to have taken place in the Marigold Road area of Darndale shortly after 4pm.
It is understood that the victim, who is in his early 20s, was shot multiple times and died at the scene.
