A Darling Downs man has been charged murder over the death of 61-year-old Krishna Chopra at Crows Nest.
The 33-year-old man from Pratten was arrested at Warwick and is expected to face the Toowoomba Magistrates Court later on Friday.
Ms Chopra's body was discovered at her house at Crows Nest, north of Toowoomba, on January 31.
Police have not revealed the cause of death, but a metal bar was found last month near Ms Chopra's home.
Ms Chopra was last seen alive on CCTV footage captured at a Bunnings hardware store on Ruthven Street in Toowoomba on January 20.
The footage shows Ms Chopra dressed in a white tunic-style shirt, black pants, a patterned purple and white scarf, sunglasses and a black face mask.
Detectives continue to appeal for anyone with information or who had contact with Ms Chopra to come forward.
Anyone in the Park Road area of Crows Nest on January 20, 21 and 22 should also contact detectives.
