Darius Slay changed from one end of the griffin to the other, but he’s still got a lot of love for the Lions side of his NFL career. Now an Eagle, the cornerback continues to show love and support for Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford.
Slay was asked by an Eagles fan on Twitter about how good Stafford is as a quarterback, noting that he felt No. 9 is a top-10 QB and gets underrated.
The Pro Bowl CB didn’t hesitate in having Stafford’s back. “Easily top 10” was Slay’s quick response.
Slay has burned some bridges with Detroit but he remains true to several of his former teammates. It’s nice to see him sticking up for Stafford even though he had no reason to do so.
