Darius Slay gives a Lions fan a fantastic graduation present

Not every NFL player will even pay attention to a request from a fan to attend a graduation party. Fewer still will respond. Those folks aren’t Darius Slay.

The Lions cornerback not only sent a gift, he even showed up for the graduation party for a young fan. Slay gifted some game-worn gloves from the Pro Bowl and delivered them in person to an astonished Kam Register, who recently graduated from high school. Register reached out via Twitter, where his bio indicated his massive fandom for the Pro Bowl Lions CB.

Slay followed Register on Twitter, a nice gesture of respect. He then told Register he will pick up the tab for Lions tickets for him and his family.

It’s a great show of appreciation and generosity by Slay, who has not had the easiest go of it this offseason with his holdout in search of a new contract. Slay thankfully hasn’t let the venom poison his gracious personality.
