Darius Slay activated from the non-football injury list

Some good news before the Detroit Lions make their first trip to Ford Field for Friday night’s scrimmage. The team has activated Pro Bowl cornerback Darius Slay from the non-football injury list.

Slay will be eligible to participate in activities and practices beginning with the intrasquad practice in front of the fans in the home of the Lions. He has missed all of training camp so far with an undisclosed injury that occurred prior to Slay reporting for duty in July.

There is still no word of any potential resolution to Slay’s desire for a new contract, something which caused the talented CB to hold out of mandatory minicamp in June. Now he’ll get a chance to prove he deserves more by being back in action.

Damon “Snacks” Harrison remains on the NFI list.
