Late in the fourth quarter of Thursday’s game against the Seahawks, Darious Williams suffered an ankle injury that sidelined him for the remainder of the night. The injury came on a screen pass to Alex Collins, who broke off a 20-yard gain.
As Collins was going down to the ground, Taylor Rapp jumped over him to avoid contact and crashed into Williams. It was a freak accident but hopefully one that will not cost Williams much time on the sideline moving forward.
Fortunately, he has some extra time before the Rams take the field again next Sunday against the Giants. It’s not a great sign that Williams was immediately ruled out after going to the locker room, however.
