Hamilton are prepared to let Darian MacKinnon leave in this current transfer window.
The experienced midfielder, who is wanted by Morton, has spoken to Hamilton head coach Brian Rice about his lack of playing time.
Rice has reluctantly told MacKinnon that he is prepared to let him go out in this window and it's likely he'll drop down to the Championship.
Rice said: “Darian hasn’t had as much playing time as he would have liked this season.
“He is at a stage of his career where he wants to be playing every week and I completely understand that.
“Darian is a big part of the club but we also have to be fair to him.
“So we have told Darian that if something comes in for him in this window that he would be interested in then we won’t stand in his way.
“Darian is a great guy, with a brilliant attitude and is a top professional.
“There has already been a bit of interest in him and I am sure there will be even more when clubs know he is available.”
