Dapo Mebude hits out at 'Rangers' fans' vile racist abuse towards his family

Dapo Mebude has accused 'Rangers' fans' of hurling racist abuse towards his family.

The Ibrox starlet says his family members were subjected to vile racism from people claiming to be Light Blues supporters while they were playing the video game FIFA.

The academy prospect vented his frustration on Twitter about the alleged incident.

He said: "Some “Rangers” fans being racist towards my family over a game of FIFA.

"Go back to the cotton fields” “you’d be better with a chain in your mouth” making whipping noises."

Rangers supporters have been left horrified with the news after the club's efforts to deal with racism with their 'Everyone Anyone' campaign.

Ibrox skipper James Tavernier and defender Connor Goldson have both been vocal about the disgusting abuse they have received in the past.

Mebude is a hightly-rated youngster at Rangers and many believe he can eventually force his way into Steven Gerrard's side.
