Danuel House Jr. says celebration is the Spider-Man, got it from son

As the Houston Rockets cruised to a relatively easy 122-90 win over the Utah Jazz in Game 1 on Sunday night, young Danuel House Jr. made his playoff debut and he did not disappoint.

He had 11 points and he knocked down three three-pointers while also delivering a monster dunk to help kick off a successful playoff opener for an important run for Houston.

House Jr. also introduced a brand new celebration where it appeared that it was a bow-and-arrow type of reaction, a la Wesley Matthews. Post game, however, House Jr. provided more clarity on his new celebration.

Actually, it’s a bow-and-arrow, but it’s a Spider-Man, because my son loves Spider-Man.

Whatever the celebration is, the Rockets hope to see more of the same from House Jr. as his continued contributions will be a much needed aspect of this playoff run.

Speaking of Spider-Man, the Rockets were featured in an Avengers: Endgame poster before the playoffs began. With Spider-Man part of the Avengers universe now, the “avenging” theme with Houston continues as they look to avenge the loss in the Western Conference Finals in 2018.

Game 2 with the Jazz is Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. CST.
