A Kansas City Chiefs legend will announce the Chiefs’ third-round pick in the 2019 NFL draft.
Dante Hall — The Human Joystick — will grace Chiefs Kingdom by announcing the Chiefs’ third-round choice at this years NFL draft. Hall was a former fifth-round pick by the Chiefs in the 2000 draft. He played with the Chiefs for seven seasons and was part of the NFL’s all-decade team for 2000’s. Many will recall Hall for his dazzling performances as a kick returner and receiver.
The NFL has made a habit out of having NFL legends in the building to announce selections for the NFL draft. According to the NFL press release it is a way to, “connect the game’s greats with the next generation of stars…”
Last season Willie Lanier and Priest Holmes announced day two picks for the Chiefs. This time they’ll only have Hall in the building to announce the Chiefs’ sole pick in the third round which is No. 92 overall. A trade could certainly shake things up for the Chiefs. It’s quite curious that the Chiefs don’t have any legends scheduled to announce either of their two second-round draft picks. The second-round is to be announced by former first round picks, so maybe they simply couldn’t schedule anyone for Kansas City? Could a trade that we don’t yet know about be in the works? Stay tuned on that front.
