Danske Bank has said that they are addressing a payments issue affecting customers on Monday morning.
Users have reported regular payments failing to come through. It is understood that payments into accounts and direct debits are affected.
A spokesperson said: "There are delays to payments coming in and Direct Debits or standing orders coming out of some Danske Bank customers’ accounts this morning due to a problem with a payments file.
"We are working as fast as we can to resolve this and expect all payments to be processed today.
"We are very sorry for the worry and the inconvenience this issue has caused those customers who are affected. No customer will incur a fee as a result of this issue."
