Danske Bank customers have been left unable to view and process payments over an internal error on the first working day of the month.
Users have reported regular payments failing to come through - with transfers and direct debits, including monthly wages, all affected.
This includes regular payments, such as mortgages and utility bills - which thousands of people typically make at the start of the month.
On twitter, one customer wrote: "I see a few direct debits haven’t been auctioned yet. My mortgage being one of them. Is there any update on this. I don’t want to be charged a late payment fee. The bank will have to cover this charge if I do."
A spokesperson at Danske Bank on Monday said it is aware of a number of issues with payments.
"We're aware of an issue with payments coming in and Direct Debits/standing orders going from some Danske accounts this morning," a statement said.
"We're looking into this and will get back to you with an update as soon as possible.
"Thanks for your patience and understanding while we investigate."
Anyone affected by the error should keep hold of any evidence to ensure they're not left out of pocket by the technical error.
This evidence can then be used to claim back any charges - such as late payments - that you've incurred as a result.
The payments error comes just days after several major lenders - including Tesco Bank and HSBC - crashed on payday, leaving workers unable to view their wages last Friday.
