He may now be a Watford player, but Danny Welbeck has clearly not forgotten his time at Arsenal.
The England international left the Gunners this summer after five years in north London, having moved from Manchester United in 2014.
Welbeck was released by the Gunners this summer, with the 28-year-old going on to sign a three-year deal with Watford as he joined the Hornets on a free transfer.
And after coming off the bench to make his debut for Watford yesterday (Saturday) in a 1-0 defeat against Everton at Goodison Park, Welbeck has sent a message to everyone at Arsenal to thank them for his time at the club.
Posting on social networking website Instagram, Welbeck said: "My 5 years with The Gooners was eventful with some great highs and unfortunate lows.
“I’ve smiled and I’ve suffered but above all I’ve learned and I’ve grown. Arsenal has given me amazing memories, working with great staff throughout the whole club and also great teammates over the years. People that I will be lifelong friends with.
“Can’t forget the amazing love and support I received from the fans throughout my time with The Gunners, I appreciate it. Thanks for the love, Peace out Welbz x”
In a separate post, Welbeck also thanked the Watford supporters for a "great reception" since he arrived at the club, adding that he was "really excited" to join and was looking forward to what was ahead in his next chapter.
