Danny the Champion of the World by Roald Dahl - review

There lived a boy named Danny. He lived with his father, but he wasn’t any old father. He was the most amazing dad in the world (Danny thought). And this man was called William. They both lived in a very old gipsy caravan. They owned the caravan, a little filling station and a little bit of the small road. Danny thinks his dad is the best dad ever. However, when he turns 9 years old, his dad reveals a very deep secret: he is a poacher, which means William (Danny’s dad) steals pheasants from very rich people who can afford to buy 200 of these fantastic birds. Soon, Danny has to join his father and attempt to plot on Mr. Victor Hazel.

This book is fantastic and really details the characters and their feelings. I think that the book is full of love and feelings. The description is so strong that you don’t even need to look at images! The humour is spread across the pages of the book.

I think this book is great for children. It really makes you think about your father and how much you love him and he loves you. I really think that this book inspires you to write your own book. I am absolutely convinced that everyone will love this book. I could this 1000 or even 1000 000 times: I loved this book, I loved it, I loved it, I loved it...
