Danny Rose shares Tottenham dream
Danny Rose has admitted he dreams of playing for Tottenham again, despite being linked with a permanent exit this summer after spending the second half of the season on loan with Newcastle United.
Rose has been linked with a permanent move to Tyneside as well as a return to Leeds United, where he started his career, but holds aspirations of playing for Jose Mourinho's side again.
"I am very happy to stay at Tottenham and see my last 10 or 11 months out, I would love to. There is nothing I want more than to play one more time in front of the fans," he said.
"I want nothing more than to play in front of the Tottenham fans one more time, just to cherish all the moments we have had over the years with them."
Seven players could leave
Tottenham could see a wealth of activity take place in the transfer market this summer ahead of Jose Mourinho's first full season at the club.
While a host of names have been linked with a move to join Spurs in the summer transfer window but there could also be a number of departures.
Despite sharing his desire to play for Spurs again, Danny Rose could be among them and fellow full-back Kyle Walker-Peters, having spent time on loan with Southampton, could follow suit.
In fact, it could be a major defensive exodus as Juan Foyth, Serge Aurier and Cameron Carter-Vickers could also be on their way out.
£23m Serge Aurier price-tag
Tottenham are standing firm amid AC Milan's interest in Serge Aurier and are determined to recoup a £23m for his services, the Mail reports.
Tottenham paid £23million to Paris Saint Germain for Aurier and see no reason to accept less despite the Italians discussing offers around £12m.
The Ivory Coast international has two-years remaining on his deal and Spurs do not want to sell for a reduced fee, with Daniel Levy set to show his strong negotiating skills once again.
