Danny Rose set to leave Tottenham as club confirm transfer talks

Danny Rose could have played his last game for Tottenham.

There have been plenty of rumours around the left-back's future in N17, with the man himself openly admitting some time ago that he wanted to move back up north st some point in his career.

Rose has previously been linked with Manchester United and there are likely to be a number of clubs making a move for him this summer, now Spurs have confirmed that they are willing to sell.

Kieran Trippier looks set to leave the club for Atletico Madrid in a £21million deal in the coming days, and Rose is set to follow him out of the door.

Tottenham named their squad for their pre-season tour of Singapore and China on Wednesday morning, and Rose was a notable absentee from the list.

And Spurs confirmed the reason for his absence - transfer talks.

The story on the club's website stated that Rose had been left behind having been "granted additional time off in order to explore prospective opportunities with other clubs".

Rose has been with Spurs for 12 years, having signed from Leeds United in a £1million deal back in 2007.

He has played nearly 200 games for the club, scoring ten goals - the most famous of which coming against Arsenal on his Premier League debut - picking up 27 England caps during his spell in north London.
