Ahead of his Tottenham Hotspur departure this summer, left-back Danny Rose has been reminiscing about some of his most memorable moments in North London.
The defender is set to leave the club upon the expiry of his contract having served as a Tottenham player since 2007.
In that time, the England international earned 29 caps and represented Spurs on 214 separate occasions, but two of those stick in his mind more than most.
The first is a 5-3 humbling of Chelsea at White Hart Lane in 2015, a game in which Rose scored. Harry Kane also scored twice, whilst Nacer Chadli and Andros Townsend got on the scoresheet as the eventual champions were downed in North London.
Talking in an interview with Spurs' official website, the 30-year-old said: “There’s been some you know amazing games that I’ve been a part of.
“We played a great game against Chelsea and won 5-3 at the Lane. Yeah, that was a great game.”
Meanwhile, Rose also selected the fiery 2-2 draw with North London rivals Arsenal back in 2016 amongst his highlights, with both clubs gunning for the Premier League title.
Aaron Ramsey had given the Gunners the lead before quickfire strikes from Toby Alderweireld and Kane in the second-half sent the Spurs supporters into raptures.
The visitors eventually sealed a point via Alexis Sanchez.
“We drew with Arsenal 2-2 at the Lane,” he continued. “Just in terms of atmosphere, that was brilliant. Harry [Kane] scored an outrageous goal when he was wearing the eye mask.”
“There’s been a lot as I look back and there’s been quite a few games that I feel very lucky to be a part of.
“I’m grateful to the club for bringing me here in 2007 as a 16-year-old and I feel very privileged to experience some of Tottenham’s great days that they’ve had over the 14 years.”
