Danny Rohl has thanked Rangers for facilitating his move to Red Bull Salzburg, as he addressed the Austrian media for the first time.
On Wednesday, both clubs confirmed the 37-year-old's move from Glasgow to Salzburg, as the German's short stint at Ibrox came to an end.
During his unveiling as the new Salzburg head coach, Rohl took the time to thank his former employers, as he outlined his plans for the club under his management. "Hello to you all and everyone out there. I'm happy to be here. Of course, I've been here quite a few times in the past," he said.
"I've always known Salzburg for its attacking, courageous football. That's also why I'm really happy to be back. That's exactly the path we want to take, and yes, to return to the identity that distinguished the club for many years: winning numerous titles in a row, playing with high intensity, and fielding highly talented players.

"Yes, I'm glad to be here. I must say, thank you very much, Marcus [Mann]. I think the last few days have been excellent. Thank you so much, and of course, thank you again to Rangers for ultimately agreeing."
On his new job at Salzburg, Rohl continued, "I'm really looking forward to the challenge. I had the pleasure of meeting the team this morning - lots of young faces!
"We've already discussed a few things, and now the focus is on settling in over the next two or three days, getting to know everyone, making an impression, and then we're looking forward to a good pre-season with a great squad.
"We'll do everything we can to ensure a successful start to the new season on the first matchday."
