New Red Bull Salzburg head coach Danny Rohl has outlined the "key factor" in his move to Austria from Scotland this summer.
On Wednesday, both the Austrian Bundesliga team and the Ibrox side announced the 37-year-old's decision to swap Glasgow for Salzburg ahead of the 2026/27 season.
During a press conference unveiling after taking in his first training session, Rohl outlined why he decided to leave Rangers for his new club, thanks in part to managing director Marcus Mann. "I think the task in Glasgow was difficult," he said.
"I stand for bold decisions, I stand for bold football, and that's why Red Bull Salzburg is exactly the right fit for me, for us, for my team. Marcus [Mann] really convinced me of the idea of how we want to play, what we want to achieve, and I think Marcus was already very active in this regard.

"We had a great exchange over the last few days, and Marcus was certainly a key factor in why this worked out."
On his spell at Rangers, Rohl continued, "I had a great time; my time in Glasgow was relatively short, but I'm only looking ahead.
"As I've said before, there's a connection when you've worked for Red Bull for nine years, and I was fortunate enough to see some fantastic Champions League matches here in Salzburg. It was always a spectacle, a showcase, not just in Austria, but throughout Europe.
"It is a club that has produced many young, highly talented players in top leagues, and of course coaches as well, and I'm happy to be part of it now.
"For me, it's simply about bringing a lot of success back to the club."
