Danny Rohl is on the brink of leaving Rangers to take over at RB Salzburg, with the Ibrox side moving quickly to replace him with Derek McInnes from Hearts.
The Austrians will pay a seven-figure compensation fee for their preferred candidate to replace Daniel Beichler. The 37-year-old is now expected to take over once the final details are ironed out.
Recognising the need to move swiftly ahead of pre-season starting, Rangers have already asked Hearts for permission to speak to McInnes. The Tynecastle club are set to grant permission for talks to take place, and will be compensated to the tune of £500,000, as revealed by the Herald.
