Danny Murphy names the Leicester City star who was the 'game-changer' against Chelsea

It was a classic tale of two halves as Chelsea and Leicester City shared the spoils at Stamford Bridge yesterday (Sunday).

Mason Mount gave the Blues an early lead, dispossessing Wilfred Ndidi in the seventh minute of the game before firing home past Kasper Schmeichel for his first Premier League goal for the Blues.

But Ndidi equalised in the second half to earn the Foxes a point, while James Maddison and Jamie Vardy both missed good chances to win the game for the visitors.

And BBC pundit Danny Murphy was full of praise for one Leicester City star and the influence he had on the game.

“They grew into the game. There was a subtle difference and that was [James] Maddison, he was the game changer," he said, speaking on Match of the Day 2.

"He is a super technician. He was stuck out on the left hand side, but he just came inside to this little pocket, and he was a nuisance. Everything that was good, they did it through him.

“Who is going to pick him up in this pocket? [Cesar] Azpilicueta doesn’t want to, Jorginho doesn’t want to, the centre-half doesn’t want to get dragged out.

“He [Maddison] is prepared to go on his left foot. You want to see this tenacity and trying to grab the game by the scruff of the neck. Heis technically superb, I am a big fan of his, but he was the main man in the second half and the one they relied on, getting the ball in tight positions.

"He is comfortable and courageous, and wants the ball. He is becoming their main man, and this is why other clubs were looking at him. He caused havoc in the second half, drifting into that pocket."

Meanwhile, fellow pundit Tim Cahill also made a big statement about the Leicester City man, who has previously been linked with Tottenham.

"Maddison in that position is too dangerous," he said.

"If he can add more goals, he is one for the future for England, because his delivery is first class."
