Danny Murphy has fired a warning to Norwich City ahead of this weekend’s clash with Leeds United at Carrow Road.
The Canaries have endured an extremely difficult start to the season with just two points from their opening nine matches.
Daniel Farke’s side earned successive 0-0 draws to both Brighton and Hove Albion and Burnley in recent weeks but were brought back down to earth with a humiliating 7-0 defeat to Chelsea on Saturday.
Norwich have already conceded 23 goals on their return to the top-flight but have just scored just twice at the other end, highlighting the struggles they have faced in both boxes.
But with fixtures against two sides in Brentford and Leeds, who may be in and around the Canaries come the end of the season, Norwich may see it as a chance to kick start their season into gear.
And those thoughts have been echoed by Murphy, who believes that if they lose both of their next two then it could be panic stations in Norfolk.
Speaking on talkSport’s White and Jordan show on Monday, via Norfolk Live, he said: “They need to find a win now, by hook or crook.
“Even if it means a change of formation or style just to get the players back on board.
“What they tried to do recently was go from trying to play nice football, to trying to be harder to beat, they went to five at the back.
“Chelsea can destroy anybody on the day, so we’ll have to see how the next two games go for them and hold judgement.
“These next two games are huge for Norwich. If they lose the next two, against teams they should have a chance against, let’s see where they are then before I jump on the bandwagon.”
