Former England midfielder Danny Murphy has revealed how his family had to show their cat Bob the red card when he started fighting with his sister Mary after being welcomed back into the house.
A clip of Murphy commentating during the World Cup last-32 clash between Norway and the Ivory Coast on June 30 went viral as the 49-year-old told the story of his missing cat.
During the match in Dallas, which featured Fulham winger Oscar Bobb playing for Norway, Murphy revealed that his cat Bob had jumped into the back of a Royal Mail van and was lost.
The story sparked interest on social media, and during the next match of his co-commentary duties between Spain and Austria, Murphy addressed Bob’s fate, revealing that the feline had actually returned a few weeks later.
