Danny Murphy agrees with Rio Ferdinand over Chelsea's chances of lifting the Premier League title next season.
The Blues had to settle for fourth place in the Premier League this season, but they did achieve European gold, winning the Champions League after defeating Manchester City in Porto on Saturday.
Chelsea have been a very different prospect since the arrival of Thomas Tuchel in January, and many now believe the German could close the gap on this season's champions Manchester City in his first full season in charge.
Match of the Day pundit Murphy is also of that opinion, telling talkSPORT: "I think it’s positive times for Chelsea.
"It looks harmonious, most of the players look happy. You’ll always have a few players, even at a great club, who are looking for an exit because they can tell they’re not part of it.
"When you’ve a wonderful squad like Chelsea there’s always going to be a turnaround of a few players.
"He’ll bring one or two in of his own. I expect them to have a good go at the title next season."
Manchester United legend Ferdinand agrees, recently saying on his Vibe With Five podcast: "Have you seen Chelsea’s stats? They’re my team to win the league next year.
"Since Tuchel’s come they’re top of almost every category: goals conceded, chances created. What he’s done going in there deserves nothing but applause."
Chelsea finished a whopping 19 points behind City in the Premier League this season, so they do have a fair distance to make up.
But having beaten Pep Guardiola's men in their last three meetings, the Blues will feel they have every chance of matching the Citizens' efforts next term.
