Danny Mills thinks Leeds United's Premier League results have been indifferent

Former Leeds United star Danny Mills has predicted Marcelo Bielsa’s side will be in for a tight tactical battle when Wolverhampton Wanderers visit Elland Road on Monday night.

Bielsa’s side have impressed on their top-flight return with seven points from their first four games of the 2020/21 season, and the Whites are unbeaten at home in league action since February 1.

Wolves have endured a mixed run of results in the opening weeks of their own campaign, with Nuno Espirito Santo’s side, beating Sheffield United and Fulham, either side of successive defeats against Manchester City and West Ham United.

However, despite their inconsistent form, Mills believes Santo’s side will pose a real threat to United’s long unbeaten home run ahead of an intriguing battle in West Yorkshire.

“Leeds could beat Wolves this weekend, but equally they could lose the game against Wolves,” he told GentingBet.

“Wolves are a very, very good side with some talented players in their squad. Both teams have had indifferent results at the start of the season, but Nuno Espirito Santo is a fantastic coach.

“It will be a real tactical battle between two teams that always want to play free-flowing football. Both teams will want to get the ball down and play and close each other down when in possession.

“I think this game will be very, very tight between the two teams.”

Leeds have not faced Wolves since the 2017/18 season, with Wolves winning home and away against the Whites, en route to securing the Championship title and a Premier League return.

However, much has changed for both sides since then, with Helder Costa swapping Molineux for Elland Road, after scoring against Wolves in 2017 and fellow match winner Diogo Jota sealed a switch to reigning Premier League title holders Liverpool this summer.
