Danny Mills believes Leeds United won’t be as active in the transfer market as some fans may hope as Marcelo Bielsa is not a fan of big squads.
Next season the Whites will once again be a Premier League club after a 16-year absence and as a result, supporters will be hoping their side are active in this summer’s window.
Two deals have already been confirmed with Illan Meslier and Helda Costa making their loan moves permanent last month, and many continue to be linked with the West Yorkshire club.
This includes Edinson Cavani, Jonathan David, Ben White - who the club would love to re-sign on a permanent basis - Odsonne Edouard, as well as Brentford pair Said Benrahma and Ollie Watkins.
But despite the continued speculation around transfers, Mills believes his old club won’t be conducting much business this summer.
He told talkSPORT: “Leeds have the conundrum of Ben White. Is he going back to Brighton?
“He has had a fantastic season at Leeds in the Championship and has really come to the fore.
“Does he stay? Does he go back to Brighton? Does he move elsewhere? So that needs addressing and that needs to be sorted.
“Bielsa as we know is not a fan of huge squads so I don’t expect too many players to come in at Leeds United.
“I think it has already been mentioned it will be players who are English-based players. They might not be English but they will have played in the English Football Leagues and the Premier League.
“I don’t see Leeds doing too much business.”
