Danny Miller quits Emmerdale after 13 years as Aaron Dingle before heading to I'm A Celeb

Danny Miller will be leaving Emmerdale after playing Aaron Dingle for 13 years.

The 30-year-old is looking forward to new and exciting opportunities as he gets set to take part in this year's I'm A Celebrity, once again at the castle.

Danny has played Aaron Dingle 2008 and recently he began a new chapter in his life after his fiancee Steph gave birth to their first son in October.

Speaking to The Mirror, earlier this week, he explained that he was "very emotional" about his decision to leave the popular ITV soap and that it had been a "big part" of his life.

He cited the tough soap filming schedules as one of the reasons he wanted to leave and said that he wanted to be around more for his family.

Danny has had a number of huge hard-hitting storylines as Aaron over the years - from his tragic romance with Jackson Walsh, who he helped take his own life, and his fiery relationship with Robert Sugden to struggling to come to terms with the child abuse he suffered at the hands of his father.

He previously took a break from the soap back in 2012 for two years to pursue other roles, including ITV's Scott & Bailey.

Danny reprised his role in 2014 after saying that he had "missed Aaron".

"I missed playing him, but thank God we've managed to ditch the trackies now! He's still got that chavvy side to him, but he's not so chavvy where his jeans are in his socks," he said at the time.

"It's nice to see Aaron mature a little bit, but he's still got that bad boy and rebellious attitude."
