
The widow of Danny Jones received a standing ovation after an emotional rendition of "Abide With Me" for the Ladbroke’s Challenge Cup final.
Lizzie Jones, who is a professional singer, sang the traditional pre-match hymn as images of herself, Danny and their two eight-month-old twins were shared across the screens at Wembley Stadium.
Danny Jones collapsed four minutes into a game for Keighley against London Skolars in May. It was later found that the 29-year-old had an undetected hereditary heart condition.
His club described him as "the life and soul of the dressing room" and "a natural leader".
Jones played 153 games for Keighley, scoring 33 tries and kicking 444 goals and seven drop-goals. He had a season back at Halifax in 2011, finishing with 54 appearances, 17 tries, 132 goals and two drop-goals.
