Danny Dyer's mum has shared the family's heartache after the death of her mother.
The actor's proud mum Christina shared the sad story of how her mum had died following a battle with pneumonia.
And Chris said she'll be forever grateful to the doctor who allowed her to hug her mum while dressed in protective equipment.
She wrote on Twitter : "I didn’t see my little mum for 10 days when she was in hospital and a wonderful doctor allowed me to give her a cuddle wearing full PPE. They let me take her home so she could die in her own house.
"I will be eternally grateful to that wonderful doctor giving me that last cuddle and a chat. I miss her dreadfully."
Many agreed with Chris, with one telling her: "I remember your pain of not being able to see her, you would have taken her home if they hadn't let you, I can't see the problem - you would be putting yourself at risk and that's your choice. Hope you are OK, good to see you back."
Chris responded: "Thanks darling. This grieving lark is a right b*****d!"
It's not known exactly when Danny's grandmother died, but the loss of her is still weighing heavily on the family.
Back in June, Chris had revealed that her mum was in hospital battling pneumonia and that they couldn't visit her due to the coronavirus pandemic.
She told her followers: "My little mum is in hospital with pneumonia. Not Covid thank f***. I’m taking up parcels and phoning her, but not being able to visit her is f***ing devastating."
Love Island star Dani, 24, then commented: "Hope she's OK" followed by two red love hearts.
Chris responded to her granddaughter: "So do I! Love you xxx."
The Dyer family are very close.
Dani once said that her nan had taken her to the pub after she split up with boyfriend Sammy Kimmence, who she has now reunited with.
"Nan took me for one beer and now I couldn’t happily sit down the pub all day," gushed Dani, who is expecting her first baby with Sammy.
