Danny Ainge in recovery after suffering mild heart attack Tuesday

Boston Celtics President of Basketball Operations Danny Ainge suffered a mild heart attack in Milwaukee on Tuesday, according to the team. The Celtics also stated via Twitter:

He received immediate medical attention and is expected to make a full recovery. He will return to Boston shortly. Further updates will be provided as appropriate.

Ainge has been the Celtics President of Basketball Operations since 2003, helping the team bring home title No. 17 in 2008. Ainge, who is now 60, also spent eight years in Boston as a player before being shipped out in 1988-89 to the Sacramento Kings. He would eventually play for the Portland Trail Blazers and the Phoenix Suns, as well.

Updates on Ainge’s condition to come.
