Dannii Minogue spills on low-key life on Australia farm with unrecognisable sister Kylie

Dannii Minogue has spilled the beans on her low key life Down Under with sister Kylie.

The 51-year-old moved back to Australia in 2011 to raise son Ethan, now 12, close to family.

Big sister and pop princess Kylie, 54, also moved back home last year after 30 years of living in the UK.

A source exclusively told the Mirror at the time : “Covid has given her a lot of time to think about the future and she wants to see more of her family in the times when she isn’t travelling, and so she will use Australia as her base.”

As well as their parents Carol and Ron, Kylie and Dannii’s brother Brendan, a 52-year-old cameraman, also lives in Australia.

But despite how glamorous the Minogue sisters are on stage, Dannii has revealed they are ‘daggy’ at home on their family farm.

Speaking to Jessie Ware’s Table Manners podcast, Dannii said: “The minute we step on the farm, Kylie and I have clothes that are old. They’ve got holes in them. We won’t let go of them.

“We look homeless. And that feels so good after the lashes, the make-up and heels and hair, which we love.

“But it’s that balance, because it’s so extreme what we do on stage, it goes low. I mean you’re welcome to come and have a look.

“Ugg boots or flip flops. That’s the only thing you’re allowed to wear, that’s it... when you look at my whole family, we’re just so daggy like that.”

Revealing more details about the Minogue family life on the farm, Dannii said: “We have cattle and mum grows a lot of fruit and veggies.

“We just did a harvest of passionfruit before I left. She’s done garlic before, which is just so different to what you get in the stores.”

Although her parents live on the farm, Dannii said her and Kylie only visit part-time due to their various work commitments.

But when they are there, she said they get stuck in and help with harvests and other work when they can.

Dannii is back in the UK at the moment as she is hosting new series I Kissed A Boy, the UK’s first gay dating showm where she says she is the ‘Cupid I always wanted to be’.

In an exclusive chat with the Mirror, the former X Factor judge revealed contestants will share a kiss before they even speak to see if sparks fly.

"I am hoping that this show sparks conversation between the gays, the gays and their friends, the gays and their families and the gays and allies,” she said.

During an appearance on Lorraine, she added: “I feel like it's been years since we’ve been watching so many dating shows, whether it's on an island, whether it's in a house. It’s just time for something for the LGBT community.”

When it comes to her own love life, Dannii has been dating songwriter Adrian Newman for the past ten years but tends to keep their relationship away from the public eye.

The Aussie recently opened up about her relationship with Adrian during an appearance on KIIS FM's Kyle & Jackie O Show, after he was described as her "secret new bloke".

She exclaimed: "It's not a secret, you ask me this every time, we've been going out for ten years.

"Every time anyone prints a picture of him, they go 'secret man', 'never seen', he's just not interested in anything to do with the public eye.”
