Dannii Minogue’s £5 Superdrug lashes worn as she presents BBC dating show I Kissed A Boy

Dannii Minogue has been looking as glamorous as ever after recently taking on a new role hosting the BBC dating show, I Kissed A Boy. Now, her hair and makeup artists have revealed the product behind the singer's eye-catching full lashes.

In an Instagram post that saw Dannii stun in a gorgeous yellow dress, her makeup artist Christian Vermaak shared that he used an affordable drugstore lash product to pull Dannii's smokey eye look together.

And it wasn’t a one-off, either, since Michael Brennan, who also does hair and makeup for the Australian actress, also tagged the same products in posts where he’d styled Dannii for the show, too.

In one post, Christian used ARDELL Wispies lashes on Dannii, in the style 703, said to offer luscious length and lots of wispiness.

Usually £5.49 at Superdrug stores, they’ve been so popular that they’ve completely sold out. But shoppers can still pick them up on the official Ardell website for £5.50.

The lashes have a unique design of wide V-shaped clusters, layered in a criss-cross pattern, which gradually increase in length and density towards the outer corners, for a flattering and feathered appearance.

Shoppers have raved about the lashes online, with one Superdrug shopper commenting: “I buy these over and over, best lashes for fluttery eyes. I love cutting them and using them on the outer corners of my eyes also!”

Meanwhile, someone who bought the lashes at Boots added: “Fantastic lashes. I have now tried three other brands but none compare to these are the only ones I can recommend. They have a very fine band so they look very natural. Usually they recommend only using false eyelashes five times but you can, with care, wear these many more times if you gently ease off the used glue each time you remove them.”

Generally the reviews have been highly positive of these faux lashes, which are much cheaper and less maintenance than lash extensions, but one Boots customer said they did struggle with them, commenting: “They look great but they didn’t hold up. I’m admittedly not great with lashes but I can usually get them on my eyelids.”

Highly sought after, the lashes are currently out of stock at both LookFantastic and Amazon, however Beauty Bay have a whole section on their website dedicated to wispy false lashes, so you should be able to find a style that suits you to achieve a similar look to Dannii Minogue on I Kissed A Boy, which airs on Sundays on BBC Three at 9pm.
