Daniella Westbrook has slammed Gogglebox after "cruel" remarks were made about her drug addiction on the show.
The former EastEnders star has hit out at the hit Channel 4 show for airing "derogatory" comments about her nose and has even claimed she’s seeking legal advice.
The actress, most famous for playing Sam Mitchell in the BBC soap in the early 90s and then appearing in Celebrity Big Brother in 2016 alongside the likes of Gemma Collins and Scotty T, has been left furious and upset over the jokes made at her expense.
In last Friday's episode, the Siddiqui family joked about the star, 47, known for her nose collapsing at the height of her cocaine addiction in the 1990s.
Baasit Siddiqui was seen asking his brother and father: "Would you rather have just one giant nostril or would you like to have just one giant eye?"
The Channel 4 star joked that having one eye would make him look like a cyclops, but having one nostril would make him look like Danniella Westbrook.
After seeing the episode, Daniella launched a tirade against he Channel 4 series and its director for airing the jibe.
In a furious rant on Twitter, the former actress wrote: "Thank you everyone for the support you gave me about the derogatory comments Channel 4 allowed the Siddiqui family to make.”
She revealed she’s getting advice from a lawyer over the comments as she continued: "My manager is seeking legal advice as trolling is not something we should take lightly.
"And I for one am in shock that [Gogglebox creator] Tania Alexander allowed that to make the edit.
"The show has always been a favourite of myself and my family, was a real shame that we had to witness such cruel comments on World Kindness Day."
Danniella has been open about her drug abuse in a series of candid interviews over the years.
She has been back and forth to rehab clinics many times and has battled a drug addiction since she was a child actress at 14, playing Sam Mitchell in Eastenders.
She sadly relapsed in 2014 after 12 years clean and it has been a tough climb ever since.
"I have another relapse in me, but I don't have another recovery," she admitted after leaving rehab.
"It's do or die for me. I know I'm one relapse away from dying."
She shockingly told Jeremy Kyle that was taking cocaine while she was pregnant with her son Kai, and spent £250,000 on the habit, snorting 5g of coke a day.
"I could have killed him yeah, and my daughter when I was pregnant with her," she confessed.
Westbrook abused the drug to such an extent that her septum fell out, leading to the shocking infamous photo of the star which was splashed across the papers at the time.
The photo has since gone on to be a visible warning to anyone who does the drug and the effects it can cause.
