Danniella Westbrook is gutted after getting Covid-19 and described herself as being "really poorly".
The former EastEnders actress took to social media to share her frustration at catching the virus, and urged her fans and followers to take care amid warnings of a third wave.
Speaking from her bed, the 47-year-old shared a video on Instagram, and revealed that she’s suffering quite badly with Covid.
"Just a quick update to let you know that yes, I've got Covid and I'm really, really poorly. I'm gutted, fuming.
"But then again, people I know that have had both jabs have got it again so f*** knows if that's worth it about the vaccinations, I don’t know why people bother,” Danniella raged.
"I don't know why people bother because they've gone and got Covid again anyway.
"It seems there's been a massive wave of Covid outbreak yet again and I'm one of the people that have got it.
"Look after yourselves, look out for each other and stay safe. Take care."
She also vented about her health woes in her caption on the video, and said she would be taking a break from social media to focus on getting better.
“I have covid yet everyone I know seems to be on social media having it as well …. What’s going on! I’m fuming and so poorly wishing everyone well and from today my social media platforms being handed over to my management.
“Sending love and light to all see you soon,” she added.
There are three Covid-19 vaccines currently available to people in the U.K. – Moderna, Oxford/AstraZeneca and Pfizer/BioNTech.
They’re given in two doses, and provide protection against a severe reaction to the virus, and significantly decrease the chances of people needing hospital treatment.
It’s not known which of the three vaccines Daniella had, however due to her age, it’s likely she had the AstraZeneca jab, as that was mainly given to the over 40s.
Her Covid battle comes just days after she was spotted on the set of ITV soap Emmerdale, and posted snaps of her outside the Woolpack pub on Instagram.
Her followers went into overdrive as they believed the mum-of-two had landed a role in the long-running show.
However, Danniella confessed that her dreams of appearing in Emmerdale were still a long way off, as she was just visiting the old set for a special recording of the podcast Soaps From The Box.
"Yes, Westbrook is in Emmerdale. I'm in Emmerdale. I'm not technically in it but I'm there,” she said in a clip.
"What an amazing day, I'm so excited. Emmerdale! I'm so happy."
Eagle-eyed fans also spotted that Danniella’s recent video about her Covid diagnosis was also location tagged as “Leeds city centre”, with some suggesting that she was in the city to film scenes for the Yorkshire-based soap.
