Danniella Westbrook 'grateful' as she returns to acting

Danniella Westbrook has thanked her friends for their support as she returned to acting this week.

The actress rose to fame in EastEnders in 1990 as Sam Mitchell, a character she played on and off for some 26 years. The 49-year-old took to social media earlier this month to share some concerning news.

Danniella said she is currently suffering from seizures. She said the medical issue was "scaring the hell" out of her.

Fans urged the TV personality to seek help after she said that she was feeling "drained". But the star put the illness down to being "under so much pressure".

Thankfully, the star now seems in much better shape. She updated her many Instagram followers after she "stepped back into acting" on Monday evening.

Sharing a number of photos, Danniella said: "My family and my manager supported my step back into acting and back into the west end last night. My friends from my school days my core group of loyal honest humble and most loving people in my life.

"My inner circle of trust, the people who I can say have picked me up and had my back since school. The people you rarely see me post on my socials because selfishly I like to keep them all for myself. But they mean so much to me and my children they are our family, that I had to post to say thank you."

She added she was "so grateful for your love and support and honesty, for having my back behind my back in my glory days and my darkest nights".

Danniella is currently starring as the Fairy Godmother in adult-only pantomime Sinderfella in London.
