Danni Menzies starts 'garden therapy' to recover from moped accident as telly presenter hides scarred face

A Place in the Sun host Danni Menzies has shared pictures of herself for the first time since she was knocked down by a stolen moped.

Last week, the 33-year-old told fans on Instagram that she had been "taken out" by the vehicle after it lost control while riding on the pavement. The Channel 4 host said that her injuries weren't "looking pretty", so much so that the Face ID facial recognition system on her iPhone wasn't recognising her.

And now Danni has taken to Instagram to share a few black and white pictures of herself enjoying some time in the garden with her mum. She wrote: "Time to get those bushes trimmed. Garden therapy with Mumma. Thanks all for the lovely messages will be back at it soon."

Danni disguised her face with her hands but her injuries can be seen just about here eye.

And many of her followers flocked to the comments to send their best wishes to the Channel 4 star. One wrote: "Take care lovely lady. So shocked by your accident. Get well soon." While one commented: "Hope you are feeling so much better." And another added: "Speedy recovery Danni."

Following her accident, Danni took to Instagram to explain what happened. She wrote: "She wrote: "Sooooooooo.....on Saturday I was taken out (on the pavement!!) by a stolen moped that lost control. Didn't see it coming and it's not looking pretty right now tbh. "I'm sure I will be fine in a few weeks but in the meantime I might be a wee bit quiet on here." She ended the post with a white love heart emoji."

Property expert Danni has hosted A Place In The Sun for six years alongside fellow Scot Jean Johansson, Ben Hillman, Lee Juggurnauth, Leah Charles-King and Craig Rowe.

However, she stood down from the show this year and is now filming a reality show, The Challenge, with MTV and Channel 5.

The scrape with a wayward moped rider is not the first brush she's had with danger. In 2018 she revealed she was almost kidnapped by a gang in Mexico while she was working as a model.

The experience left her so shaken she spent the next night locked in her room armed with scissors, terrified the gang would strike again.
