Danish woman trying to trace long-lost Bristolian father who used to work at Rolls Royce

A woman, who has never met her father, believes people in Bristol may be able to help her track him down.

Louise Mose Nielsen, who lives in Denmark, has limited information about her biological dad who had a summer romance with her mother 40 years ago.

After he returned to the UK, Louise's mother Eva discovered she was pregnant but had lost his address and was unable to contact him to let him nknow.

She is now hoping someone in the Bristol area will be able to identify him from the limited information she has.

It's official - Bristol is the best city in the UK for eating out

In a post in Missing People in Bristol and Surrounding Areas on Facebook, Ms Mielsen's friend has said they are looking for a man named Barry, who took a trip to Denmark in 1978.

It is believed he was born around 1950 or 1951 and was living in Bristol at the time. The Derby Telegraph has reported he has roots in Derby.

The scandal of the secret mass grave of East Bristol's poor, finally given a marker

He told Louise's mother he was working at Rolls Royce back home, and was visiting Aalborg, Denmark with a friend who had family there.

After the holiday he sent a postcard to Eva and she sent an English/Danish dictionary to him.

His surname is not known, but Louise and her mother believe it to be Hayes or similar.
