Danish firm TwentyThree acquires UK enterprise video platform Buto

Danish video platform provider TwentyThree has acquired a fellow video-hosting firm as part of its plans to build a global company.

TwentyThree, which is headquartered in Copenhagen, has taken over Buto which is based in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter.

The acquisition is TwentyThree's first acquisition which will see all Buto customers transition to the TwentyThree video marketing platform before the end of summer 2020.

Bosses at TwentyThree believe the deal will 'solidify its position as the only European player in the race to be the video marketing platform of choice for digital for digital marketers.'

CEO of TwentyThree, Thomas Madsen-Mygdal said: "Buto has been successful at video-enabling some of UK’s largest companies, and we’re happy to add their enterprise skills and strong UK client base to our list of offerings.

"I'm excited to be on the journey into the visual era with Buto and we thank the Buto team for putting their trust in TwentyThree.”
