Danish bakery launches adorable limited edition spook-tacular treats

Halloween is the time for tricks and treats with endless Instagrammable food and drink on offer, so Danish bakery chain Ole & Steen has launched its own limited edition spooky range.

Ole & Steen has bakeries across London and from October 18 to October 31 these will be selling three scary-but-sweet favourites on sale for under £5 that look as good as they taste.

The all-day bakery is selling three sweet treats with a Halloween theme and perfectly pun-y names. Each retail at £3.25 for the muffins or £3.95 for their marshmallow whip, making these Instagrammable treats extra palatable.

The Eye See You muffin is the most horrific of the three made with a carrot base and a cream cheese frosting. Devils wishing to bring the scary this Halloween will love this muffin sprinkled in scarlet powder and topped with a chocolate eyeball.

Spooky season wouldn’t be complete without some bats and Ole & Steen has brought back the totally adorable Boo the Bat. Boo was a favourite from previous autumns and is a decadent dark chocolate muffin.

These tasty treats will only be around for two weeks at Halloween (Ole & Steen)

This muffin is covered in a layer of chocolate frosting and has a little Dracula-inspired face with chocolate ears to match. Ole & Steen say this is fit “for chocolate lovers and coffin-dwellers alike”.

Finally, Ole & Steen completes this delicious trio with Spooky the Marshmallow Whip - an almond base topped with marshmallow and dipped in white chocolate. Spooky’s face is made from dark chocolate with a surprised expression to really bring the horror.

Lee Nixon, from Ole & Steen said, “Halloween is a time filled with playful and vibrant traditions, giving us all a wonderful reason to celebrate with a little child-like fun. Our spooky treats were so well received last year, that we couldn’t resist bringing them back again to haunt our shelves once more.”
