Daniil Medvedev smashes racket on ground in US Open meltdown

Daniil Medvedev Benjamin Bonzi US Open

Daniil Medvedev was defeated by Benjamin Bonzi of France in the first round of the US Open on Sunday.
Following his loss, Medvedev had a courtside meltdown, smashing his racket to pieces.
The incident was preceded by a controversial decision regarding a first serve awarded to Bonzi.
Chair umpire Greg Allensworth allowed Bonzi to re-do his first serve after a photographer interfered, despite Bonzi having already missed it.
