Danielle Lloyd pregnant and hoping for baby five to be a girl

Danielle Lloyd has announced she is pregnant with her fifth baby and she is desperately hoping this one will be a girl.

Danielle, 37, already has four sons, Archie, 10, Harry, nine, and George, seven, with her ex-husband Jamie O’Hara, and Ronnie, three, with current husband Michael O'Neill.

The former glamour model has made no secret of her quest to have a baby girl, with her and Michael even discussing going abroad for gender selection treatment before the coronavirus lockdown.

Liverpool-born Danielle conceived her fifth child naturally and is now just hoping the baby is a girl to balance her very male-dominated home.

Speaking to Closer, she said: "I can’t wait to become a family of seven. I know there’s a risk it’ll be another boy though – having five boys would be totally mad!

"But, of course, the main thing I want is for the baby to be healthy. And if it’s not a girl – we’ll just try again after!"

Danielle has previously spoken about how much she wanted a baby girl, to replicate the relationship she has with her own mum Jackie.

In 2018, she told the magazine: "My mum and I are so close. There’s just nothing like a mother-daughter bond. When they grow up, my boys will leave me – but I don’t think a girl ever really drifts from her mum."

Danielle has been looking into how to conceive a girl and has read a book called The Babydust Method that informs the reader on the best ways to fall pregnant with a girl naturally.

She said: "You have to track your ovulation, which I did via an app.

"And have sex the day before you ovulate, as apparently female sperm live longer than male sperm."

She said that Michael was on a strict rota to enable her to have the best chance to get what she wants.

While Danielle is just coming to the end of her first trimester – with the baby due in November – she says this pregnancy feels different to when she was pregnant with her boys and said: “I haven’t felt sick at all. With the boys, I felt really ill in the beginning. I’m just tired, but other than that I feel totally fine."
