The partner of murdered Lake Macquarie woman Danielle Easey has had a bid for freedom rejected in Newcastle local court.
Benjamin Todd has been in custody since he was charged with aggravated break and enter with intent to commit a serious indictable offence earlier this year.
The 29-year-old allegedly committed the offence while on parole from a two-year jail term for a previous break and enter conviction.

Mr Todd's solicitor said during a bail application on Wednesday that her client had several issues - including ADHD and an unspecified intellectual disability - which would be better treated in the community.
The court also heard that Mr Todd was "experiencing significant grief" over the death of Ms Easey, whose body was found in Cockle Creek on August 31, a fortnight after her alleged murder.
"His partner was recently murdered in very tragic circumstances," Mr Todd's solicitor told the court.
But Magistrate Stone rejected the bail application, saying there were "real risks that need to be mitigated" given Mr Todd allegedly committed the offence while on parole.
