Danielle Armstrong gets emotional as daughter Orla takes her first steps

Former TOWIE star Danielle Armstrong was overcome with emotion as she watched her tot take her first steps.

The mum-of-one gave birth to daughter Orla in May last year, with her fiancé Tom Edney.

Her little one is soon to celebrate her first birthday and she is walking already.

And Danielle couldn't help but share the precious moment with her followers.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, the 32-year-old reality star shared: "I'm having a proud mum moment and I want to share it with you.

“We took Orla today to one of those cake smash photoshoots – I don’t know if anyone has seen them. They are so much fun. Obviously Orla is going to be one next month so we thought we’d do the whole thing where she can literally just smash a cake and she was in her element.

“Anyway, that’s not what was the proud moment. She took her first steps! About six. She did about six steps, but obviously we didn’t get that bit on camera because I wasn’t expecting her to do it.”

“But I did get this bit on camera where she waddles. I think she took three or four steps.

"But yeah, I wanted to kind of cry but at the same time I thought, ‘Hold it back Danielle.’

“I can’t believe it. My little girl – not even a year old yet and she’s starting to take her first steps.”

She posted the video of Orla walking towards a cuddly toy before falling over.

Orla is Danielle's first child with her fiancé.

The proud mum spoke about her gruelling 72-hour labour with her baby last year, as she was forced to give birth alone due to the coronavirus.

Speaking about the birth, she said: "All I remember is her eyes so open.

"Like I thought she was going to be like her eyes shut but her eyes were just staring - she looked straight at me."
