Daniel Sturridge's stolen dog found as former Liverpool striker is reunited with beloved pet Lucci

Former Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has been reunited with his dog Lucci.

The Pomeranian on Monday night, and an appeal to find the pet was swiftly launched by the ex-Reds forward.

Sturridge admitted he felt "broken" that his dog had been taken and on social media.

In one of his most recent appeals, Sturridge wrote: "If anyone has any information please contact us ASAP. A sizeable reward will be organized. We just want the dog back.

"Send a video of him and we can talk. Dog was stolen from West Hollywood at 11:30 last night."

Another caption read: "He’s still out there somewhere. Everyone please help to bring my dog home."

The posts quickly went viral with news outlets on both sides of the Atlantic sharing the message from the Birmingham-born frontman.

ABC News have now reported the dog has now been located and safely returned to Sturridge.

According to reports, Los Angeles police found Lucci on Wednesday morning and no arrests were made.

The Champions League winner is yet to comment on the return of his beloved pooch.

Following the expiration of his Liverpool contract the England international, who spent six years at Anfield, is currently without a club.
